BEACHWOOD, OHIO -- The Wofford Terriers men’s golf team completed their opening tournament of the 2011-12 season at the weather shortened Cleveland State Invite Tuesday morning at the Canterbury Golf Club with a team score of 310.

Hayes Brown led the way with a 75 in the only round of the tournament after play was cancelled on Monday due the inclement weather.  

Brent Whitehead finished with a 77, while Chandler Brazeal carded a 78.  Cory Taylor followed with an 80 to complete the Terriers top four on the day.

Wofford's 310 put the Terriers in 14th, 21 strokes behind tournament winners IPFW.

Cleveland State’s Andrew Bailey took the individual crown with a 68.

The Terriers will tee off again in their next tournament in the The Autotrader.com Collegiate Classic in Duluth, Ga. on October 17.
