BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – The Wofford men’s and women’s track and field team wrapped up the indoor season at Southern Conference IndoorTrack and Field Championships with a ninth and tenth place finish respectively.
The women’s team took tenth place out of 12 teams with 9.5 team points, while the men took ninth with nine points.
Mike McCrimon led the men’s team with a sixth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.57m, and a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 13.06m.
The men’s distance medley relay team of Justin Whitaker, Travis Butler, Chase West and Trey Parker set the school record with a time of 10:48.26.
Hunter McGhee earned All-Freshman honors with a time of 9:22.84.
On the women’s side, Kaitlin Brown finished tied for fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.60m tying a school record.
The women’s distance medley relay team of Alyssa Burkert, Emily Gothberg, Katie Kessler and Alissa Williams set the Wofford school record with a time of 12:18.93 and finished in fifth place.
