ELON, N.C. – The Wofford women’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Elon Sunday afternoon at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
 
With the loss, the Terriers drop to 4-12 overall and 0-6 in SoCon play.  The Phoenix improve to 14-5 on the year and 5-2 in league action.
 
Elon earned an early 1-0 advantage, sweeping doubles play to take the doubles point.
 
The Phoenix held their momentum at the start on singles action, taking all matches in straight sets.
 
The Terriers will next be in action on Thursday afternoon, hosting Appalachian State.  The match is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start time at the Reeves Tennis Center.
