Men's Tennis Falls to No. 25 Clemson, 7-0

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Wofford men's tennis team was defeated by ITA No. 25-ranked Clemson University, 7-0, on Friday afternoon.

With the loss, the Terriers fall to 3-2 overall and the Tigers improve to 6-1 with the win.

In doubles play, the Terriers' No. 3 doubles duo of freshman Trevor Gotkowski and sophomore David Sklar defeated Kennedy and Johnson, 6-4, to win a match for Wofford. In the end, Clemson earned the point winning the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches

In singles play, Wofford was lead by Gotkowski, who faced Brent Lett at the No. 5 position. He defeated Lett in the first set, 6-5, but fell in the second, 6-2, and lost the match tiebreak, 1-0 (10-8).

The men's team is back in action tomorrow afternoon when they take on College of Charleston at 1 p.m. at the West Side Club indoor courts in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The team then turns around and plays its third match in three days as they travel to No. 18-ranked South Carolina. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
