SPARTANBURG, S.C. –
Jack Deveney and
Robbie Young from the Wofford College men's tennis team were named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Deveney, a sophomore from Bearsden, Scotland, was named All-Southern Conference second team. He was also named first team All-Southern Conference in doubles with
Robbie Young. An international affairs major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and is an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Young, a senior from Greenville, South Carolina, received All-Southern Conference first team honors and the Don Bunch/Buddy Hartsell Sportsmanship Award in 2025. He and
Jack Deveney also earned All-SoCon first team honors in doubles. A finance major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
Academic All-District nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average. All honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected at the end of May.
