Indoor Track & Field Competes in Day One of Bob Pollock

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Wofford men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in day one of the Bob Pollock Invitational hosted by Clemson University on Friday at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex.

Leading the way for the women, senior Alyssa Burkert paced the Terriers finishing third in the 800m run crossing the finish line at 2:18.18. Also, junior Keirsten Ellsworth crossed the finish line at 11:50.12 good enough for a seventh place finish in the 3K run.

Others that competed for the women were seniors Katie Kessler and Carly Egan, junior Alissa Williams, sophomore Brandon Sloan, and freshman Faith Jewkes.

For the men, sophomore Ryan Doyle led the way crossing the finish line at 15:56.74 in the 5K run for a second place finish.  Also the Terriers 4x400m relay team of juniors Travis Butler, Sam Parrott and Justin Whitaker, and sophomore Alex Michaels finished fourth with a time of 3:33.69.

The other men that competed for the Terriers were junior Hunter McGahee, sophomores Alex Michaels and Stevin Beinfait, and freshman Jonathan Rice.
