Despite the loss, head coach Rod Ray was proud of his team's performance against a good opponent. "It was a great match," said Ray. "Losing close is never easy, but I was pleased with our effort and preparation. Charleston was impressive and if they had been anything less they wouldn't have won. I am proud of our team. Now it is time to get ready for tomorrow."

The Terriers return to action tomorrow afternoon, when they travel to No. 18-ranked University of South Carolina in Columbia at 4 p.m. The next home match for Wofford is on Friday, February 7, when they host Coastal Carolina University at the John E. Reeves Tennis Center at 2:30 p.m.
