Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The women's soccer team for the second consecutive game played two overtime periods, this time drawing even at Gardner-Webb Friday night by a final score of 0-0.

Four Terriers played all 110 minutes of the match, including goalkeeper

Hanna Socha and midfielder
Emily Gaid. Two more players, defender
Kendall Stanley and midfielder
Lucy Etro, each played just over 100 minutes in the match. The Bulldogs also had four players play all 110 minutes and two more play over 100.

Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score in the match, with the two teams taking a combined 39 shots and 17 of them on goal.

The Bulldogs looked primed to score in the first half, taking ten of their 20 shots in the first period. The tides shifted in Wofford's favor in the second half and overtime though, as the Terriers outshot the Bulldogs in the last three periods 14-10. Wofford had three chances to win the game in regulation over the last seven minutes, but goalkeeper Keely Brown and the Bulldog defense prevented any last-minute winners.

Carroll finished the match with a career-high 10 saves while Brown recorded seven saves for the Bulldogs.

Hayley Younginer led Wofford with five shot attempts, including three on goal. For the Bulldogs, senior forward Shelby Hooe led the team with four shots on goal.

The Terriers (0-1-2) next take the field on Friday, September 4 when the team travels to Presbyterian College. The match is slated to start at 7 p.m.
