Charlotte, N.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team competed at the Charlotte Invitational over the weekend. The Terriers were one of four teams to compete along with the host Charlotte University, Coastal Carolina and Davidson. Competing for the Terriers during the weekend was
Cassidy Hicks,
Jenna Vroman,
Lauren Reid, Britt Wilbur,
Curran Carver,
Annie Mayfield and Sam Russell.

Over the two days of competition Wofford played singles and doubles matches against members of each team at the invitational. The Terriers won one doubles match and two singles matches. Wofford's combination of
Lauren Reid and Brittany Wilbur defeated Rocio Safront and Pierina Imparato of Charlotte 6-1.

In the singles matches,
Curran Carver defeated Megan Smith of Charlotte, 6-2, 6-1 and then Carver defeated Jessie Mount 6-2, 7-5.

Wofford will continue the fall portion of its schedule on October 27 when the Terriers host the Wofford Invite at the Reeves Tennis Center in Spartanburg.
