SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team will add four incoming signees for the 2018 season, head coach
Rod Ray announced on Friday.

Javier Casasolas, Diego Losada, and Eduardo Villar are joining the Terriers from Spain, while Omar Williams is from Spartanburg.

"Our incoming class is top notch," Ray said. "All four are excellent students and competitors. They will love the Wofford experience and represent our school and program very well."

Javier Casasolas / 6-1 / Madrid, Spain
Â
Before joining Wofford, Casasolas ranked in the top 200 in Spain, as well as in the top 28 of all men's players in his age group. In 2016 and 2017, he earned a top 40 ranking in the under 18 division in Spain. Also in 2016, Casasolas was a finalist in the Seville under 18 tournament. In his junior season, he led his team to the under 18 Andaluvian Championship. On an individual note, Casasolas won three tournaments in 2016 and reached the finals of a tournament four times.

Diego Losada / 5-11 / Grenada, Spain

Before coming to the Terriers, Losada enjoyed an outstanding prep career in Spain. He currently ranks at #229 for all men's tennis players in Spain. For his age group, he currently ranks at #35.

Ray, on Losada: Diego is a bright, hardworking player with a great attitude. He hits a penetrating ball off of both sides and does not give up points easily."

Eduardo Villar / Benalmadena, Spain
Â
Prior to joining the Terriers, Villar enjoyed success as a junior tennis player in Spain. He ranked as high as 16
th of all players born in 1999, 28
th in all of Spain junior tennis, and 156
th of all players in Spain. Villar finished runner-up in Malaga Province Senior Championship. He also won team state championships in the U14 and U16 age groups. Villar reached the semifinals of the Marca U16 Championship, an official Spanish U16 tournament.

Omar Williams / 5-8 / Spartanburg, S.C.

Williams was a six-year letterwinner at Spartanburg High School. He helped his team to three state championships and two national titles. Williams owns a 102-1 match record as a high school player. He earned two All-State selections and was a six-time All-Region performer. In 2016, Williams received the Mallory Evans Sportsmanship Award.

Ray, on Williams: "Omar is a graceful, athletic, and smart player. His ability to attack and defend will make him a great college player.

The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
