Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wofford women's tennis team won 6-1 at N.C. A&T on Saturday afternoon. Despite dropping the team point in the doubles matches, Wofford rallied to dominate the singles matches 6-0 to win the match. The win moves the Terriers to 2-0 on the season.

"I am so proud of the energy that the team brought to the courts today. After a tough loss in the doubles matches we buckled down to secure the win," said head coach
Krissy Hall. "The team fought so hard and stayed the course which allowed us to get a win against a tough N.C. A&T team."

Despite not being able to secure the team point, Wofford's
Cassidy Hicks and
Jenna Vroman picked up the lone victory, 6-3 from the number one slot.

After the tough start, Wofford responded in the singles matches as the Terriers swept the Aggies 6-0. Wofford's lineup for the singles matches was as followed: #1

Vroman notched the first point for the Terriers with a 6-2, 6-3 victory and was followed up by Hicks, who won 6-2, 6-4. Carver then notched the third point with a 6-4, 6-3 victory prior to
Brittney Wilbur clinching the match with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 victory from the #5 spot.

Wofford will return to the court on February 3 when the Terriers host King University and Emmanuel College in a double header at 11 AM and 2 PM.
