Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team downed Belmont 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Reeves Tennis Center. The Terriers opened the day by securing the team point from the doubles competition and battled with Belmont in the singles matches. With the score tied at three,
Kyle Barr won his match to clinch the victory for the Terriers. The win moves Wofford to 6-1 while the Bruins move to 4-7.

Rod Ray. "There was nothing easy about what happened today. Our team unselfishly played for each other and we are gaining strength from one another."

Wofford got off to a great start in the doubles competition by securing the team point after just two matches. The Terriers lineup for doubles was as followed: #1

Omar Williams. Casasolas/Williams got the day started with a 6-1 victory which was followed up by Chousa/Crawford who downed their opponent 6-4.

The Bruins bounced back in the singles matches after being shut out in doubles competition but the Terriers remained tough. Wofford's lineup for singles was as followed: #1 Cerbelli, #2 Chousa, #3

Parks Schoen, #5
Kyle Barr and #6 Williams. Williams put Wofford ahead 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 victory but the Bruins responded winning the next two matches to tie the score at 2-2.

After falling behind 4-6, Chousa then won consecutive sets, 6-2, 6-2 to give the Terriers the slight advantage. With Wofford leading by one, Belmont's Hendrick Inno defeated Cerbelli in a third-set tie breaker to bring the score even at 3. Despite losing the first set 2-6, and trailing 0-3 in the second, Barr remained calm and completed the comeback victory 6-4, 6-4 to give Wofford the win.

Wofford will return to the court on Tuesday when the Terriers host North Greenville at 2 PM at Reeves Tennis Center.
