Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team defeated Chattanooga 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at Reeves tennis center. The Terriers secured the team point in the doubles matches and continued the strong play in singles to down the Mocs on senior day. With the win Wofford moves to 9-4 and 1-1 in the conference while Chattanooga drops to 6-11 and 1-3 in the SoCon. Â

The Terriers led off the day with a strong showing in the doubles matches as Wofford swept Chattanooga. Wofford's lineup for doubles was as followed: No. 1

Javi Casasolas. Crawford/Chousa began the day with a 6-3 win as Williams/Casasolas clinched the team point with a 6-3 victory. With the team point in hand, Cerbelli/Thomas completed the doubles sweep with a 6-4 victory.

Wofford's solid performance continued in the singles matches as the Terriers picked up four victories to secure the team win. The Terriers lineup for singles was as followed: No. 1 Cerbelli, No. 2 Chousa, No. 3 Villar, No. 4
Parks Schoen, No. 5
Kyle Barr, and No. 6 Williams. Villar began with an emphatic 6-4, 6-0 victory while Williams made it a perfect 2-0 on the day with a 6-0, 6-2 win to put Wofford ahead 3-0 in the match. Barr clinched the win for Wofford with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over his opponent.

With the match already determined the Terriers got one more point thanks to Cerbelli who won 6-4, 7-5 to give Wofford the 5-2 victory. Senior
Parks Schoen battled tough in his match, forcing a tie breaker but ultimately fell 10-8 in the third set.

Wofford will return to the court on Wednesday March 28 when the Terriers travel to Boiling Springs to face off against Gardner-Webb.
