CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Wofford College men's and women's track and field teams competed on Friday and Saturday at the Hurricane Alumni Invite at Cobb Stadium on the campus of the University of Miami. The Terriers set five school records at the event, along with numerous ten top finishes.

On Friday, the decathlon and heptathlon began.
William Stout and
Conrad Heinrich were eighth and ninth, respectively, after the first five events.
Amber Lust was third overall after the first four events. She was first in the 100 meter hurdles in a school record time of 14.21. Freshman
Megan Dunn was 11
th overall after the first day.
Conrad Heinrich added a third place finish in the javelin at 54.70 meters.
Megan Dunn was fourth in the women's javelin at 36.24 meters.
Austin Lufkin was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 15.28 meters and added a third place finish in the discus on Saturday.

The women's 3,000 meter steeplechase began events on Saturday with
Anya Bunao taking second place in 11:37.84. In the finals of the decathlon,
Conrad Heinrich was first in the 1500 meters and was fifth overall with 5,993 points.
William Stout was sixth with 5,890 points.
Amber Lust completed the heptathlon in fourth place with 4,701 points, while
Megan Dunn was seventh at 4,307.
Longinus Nnodim was second overall in the hammer at 42.47 meters. The women's 4x100 relay was fourth overall and the 4x400 team was fifth. The men's 4x400 squad was ninth overall.
Omar Mingo took sixth place in the long jump at 6.80 meters and was seventh in the triple jump.

In the women's 1,500 meters,
Hannah Steelman was first in 4:29.98 and
Madison Paraskeva took second place. Steelman added a second place finish in the 800 meters, with Paraskeva fourth and
Jamie Barnett fifth.
Joe Harbacevich was second in the men's 800 meters at 1:53.20, while
Jack Zemp was sixth in the men's 1,500 meters.
McLeod Dean was tenth in the women's 100 meters with a school record time of 11.77. She added a school record in the 200 meters at 23.80.
Isaiah Ellis added a school record in the 400 meter hurdles at 54.83 for a fourth place finish. In the women's 5,000 meters,
Taryn Schoen finished first in a school record time of 17:50.91.
Cisco Ferre was fourth in the men's 5,000 meters at 15:50.34.

The meet included teams from Florida International, Boston College, Florida Atlantic, Kennesaw State, Connecticut, Brown, St. Johns, and Syracuse, among others.

Next weekend the Terriers will compete at the USC Open in Columbia, S.C., followed by a meet at ETSU on April 28. The outdoor season will conclude for the Terriers on May 10-11 at the Southern Conference Championships hosted by Western Carolina.
