SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford men's tennis head coach Rod Ray has announced the 2018-19 schedules for the fall and spring season. The Terriers will compete in five fall tournaments while the spring season is scheduled for 20 matches, highlighted by 12 home contests at Reeves Tennis Center.
 
"Most of us did a great job this summer, returning as more skilled and mature players, so I'm pleased with where we are right now," said head coach Rod Ray. "These past few weeks, we've been developing our skills even further and getting after one another pretty hard in practice, so we're looking forward to competing against outside competition this weekend."

The Terriers open the fall season this weekend on September 21-23 at the USC Tournament. October consists of two tournaments, where they will compete at the South Carolina Collegiate/Belton Tournaments (October 5-7) and the ITA Regionals (October 12-16). The Terriers will then compete in the UNC Charlotte Tournament (November 2-4) before concluding the fall season on November 9-11 at the Wake Forest Tournament.

Wofford brings back eight returners while only adding one newcomer for the 2018-19 season. Amongst the returners for the Terriers include Kyle Barr, Javi Casasolas, Lucas Cerbelli, Julian Chousa, John Crawford, Diego Losada, Edu Villar, and Omar Williams. Freshman Bryce Keim rounds out the roster as the lone newcomer for the Terriers.

"Our team is solid and our schedule reflects our level of talent and commitment," said Ray. "Our strong slate of early season matches will prepare us well for conference play."

The Terriers open the spring season on January 19 where they will travel to Chapel Hill for their season opener against UNC and Bucknell. Next, they face Richmond (February 2) before returning back to Spartanburg for their home opener against King on February 3. Wofford then follows with a visit to Winthrop for a road contest on February 8.

The Terriers kick off an eight-game home stand against Emmanuel on February 9, followed by visits from Troy (February 11), College of Charleston (February 16), Gardner-Webb (February 20), North Greenville (February 21), JC Smith (February 23), ETSU (February 24), Samford (March 1), and UNC Asheville (March 2).
 
Wofford visits Charlotte on March 6 for a road contest before returning for two home matches against Mercer (March 16) and Furman (March 20). The Terriers then wrap up the rest of the regular season on the road, visiting UNCG (March 23), Chattanooga (March 30), USC Upstate (April 5), and The Citadel (April 9).
 
The Southern Conference tournament is scheduled to be held on April 18-20.
