Johnson City, Tenn. – The Wofford College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the ETSU Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the MSHA Athletic Center. Numerous Terriers had top five finishes and two new school records were set. Â

On Friday,
Longinus Nnodim won the men's weight throw at 16.55 meters. In the women's 800 meters,
Madison Paraskeva was third at 2:18.91, with
Kassidy Morton eighth at 2:22.74.
Jack Zemp was fourth in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:57.77, followed by
Bradford Smith in eighth place at 2:02.38. Jaylen Muhammad set a school record in the 60 meters at 7.01, breaking the previous record by Elias Conits set in 2009.

On Saturday,
Madison Paraskeva was third in the mile at 5:10.34 and
Jamie Barnett was eighth at 5:23.13. In the men's mile,
Jack Zemp was second at 4:23.33.
Longinus Nnodim added a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.28 meters. In the women's long jump,
Amber Lust was seventh and
Megan Dunn was eighth, while
Omar Mingo was sixth on the men's side. In the women's 400 meters,
Kassidy Morton was second at 59.06 and
Parke Faison was eighth.
Elijah Bull was fourth in the men's 400 meters at 50.75.
Amber Lust was second in the 60-meter hurdles with a school record time of 8.62 and Destiny Shipp was sixth at 9.04. In the men's 60-meter hurdles,
Isaiah Ellis was fourth at 8.25 and
Conrad Heinrich was sixth at 8.64. The women's 4x400 relay took third place at 3:57.11 and the men were fourth in 3:28.88.

Twenty total teams competed, including Appalachian State, ETSU, Georgia State, and Kennesaw State.

The teams will be back in action on January 27 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
