THE SOCON TOURNAMENT
The Terriers enter the 2021 Southern Conference Tournament as the #1 seed after clinching the regular season championship with a shutout win in the final game of the season ... It is the first regular season title for Wofford since joining the league in 1998 and the first time with the #1 seed ... Wofford will face #4 seed Western Carolina in the opening game, with #2 seed Samford and #3 seed Mercer also qualifying for the tournament ... Wofford has a 35-19 overall record and a 21-9 mark in the SoCon after a series win against Mercer last weekend ... Last season Wofford was 14-3 after a 4-3 win over #14 Auburn before the season was halted ... The Terriers were picked third by the coaches and media in the SoCon Preseason Polls ... In the Southern Conference Postseason Awards, Wofford was led by Player of the Year Colin Davis, Pitcher of the Year Elliot Carney and Coach of the Year Todd Interdonato ... It was the first time a Terrier had won any of those three major awards ... Wofford is also receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches poll for the first time in school history.

• The Terriers had four players earn All-Southern Conference first team honors - OF Colin Davis, SP Elliot Carney, RP Dalton Rhadans, and 3B Jack Renwick. OF Nolen Hester and C Lawson Hill picked up second team honors. Renwick and OF Trey Yunger received All-Freshman recognition.

In the 2021 season, the team returns four starters in the field along with 13 pitchers ... Overall 26 players returned to the team with 17 newcomers ... This marks the 14th season under the direction of head coach Todd Interdonato ... Leading the team are eight seniors: Elliot Carney, Colin Davis, Jake Dippold, Lawson Hill, Clay Schwaner, Josh Vitus, David Yourke and Jake Zoller ... Among the pitchers, Hayes Heinecke is 2-4 with a 4.40 ERA and he was named the SoCon Preseason Pitcher of the Year ... Dalton Rhadans is 5-0 with a 2.80 ERA and seven saves as a reliever ... Elliot Carney is 6-3 with a 2.71 ERA and a league-high 101 strikeouts ... Clay Schwaner has three saves and a 1.40 ERA ... Nolen Hester leads the team with a .636 batting average and 69 hits ... Colin Davis has .359 batting average, along with team-bests in doubles, home runs and RBIs ... Trey Yunger, Lawson Hill, Jack Renwick and John Dempsey also have 50 or more hits ... Jack Renwick leads the SoCon with 28 stolen bases, while Colin Davis (18), Nolen Hester (13), Shane Lussier (16) and Trey Yunger (19) also have 10+ steals.
