SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Former Wofford College men's tennis player Rob Galloway '15 and his partner, Alex Lawson, will face Federico Coria (Argentina) and Gianluca Mager (Italy) in the opening round of the 2021 U.S. Open doubles draw.
The opening round of the men's doubles draw will begin on Wednesday, September 1 and continue on Thursday, September 2. They will play on Court 17 on Wednesday as the third match of the day.
Galloway, a native of Greenville, S.C., currently is ranked 108
th in the world in doubles. This is his third time playing in the U.S. Open, having reached the second round in 2018 and falling in the opening round in 2019. Lawson played collegiately at Notre Dame where he was an All-American in doubles. He is currently ranked 120
th in doubles.
