SPARTANBURG, S.C. –Wofford College women's tennis head coach
Krissy Hall has announced the schedule for the 2023 spring season. The Terriers have 21 matches on the slate, which includes eleven matches at home at the Reeves Tennis Center.
The schedule begins on January 22, when the Terriers travel to Clemson. The non-conference matches are highlighted by trips to Belmont and Radford, along with home matches against North Florida, Georgia Southern and Appalachian State. The Southern Conference schedule gets underway on March 17 at UNC Greensboro, with the 2023 SoCon Tournament hosted by Chattanooga from April 20 to 22.
"We are very excited for the upcoming season," said Hall. "The team worked extremely hard this fall and saw lots of success. We are looking forward to carrying that momentum into the spring season and are excited about the opportunities ahead of us!"
Wofford returns six players from last's years squad that was 9-10 overall and 3-4 in the Southern Conference. Senior
Georgia Fischer is joined by juniors
Emely Kahrs and
Brianna Wilbur. Sophomores include
Breda Brennan,
Emma Sorensen and
Lily Woods, along with transfer
Catherine Blouin. Woods was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team last season, while also earning second team honors at #1 singles.
Chloe Elliott is the lone freshman on the squad.
