SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College women's tennis team had four student-athletes named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The four receiving the honors for Wofford were
Catherine Blouin,
Breda Brennan,
Brianna Wilbur and
Lily Woods.
Blouin, a senior from Augusta, Georgia, set a school record for singles wins in a season with a 17-4 record. A member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and an ITA Scholar-Athlete, she is a finance major.
Brennan, a senior from Limerick, Ireland, was 10-8 on the season playing at the #1 singles position. She was named to the All-Southern Conference first team in 2024 and 2025. She also was named All-Southern Conference second team at #1 doubles with
Lily Woods. An ITA Scholar-Athlete and a member of the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, she is a finance major.
Wilbur, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, had a 13-6 overall record at the #2 singles position. She has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, as well as being an ITA Scholar-Athlete. She is a biology and English double major.
Woods, a senior from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, was named All-Southern Conference second team at the #3 singles position with a 16-3 record. At #1 doubles, she and
Breda Brennan were named All-Southern Conference second team. A business economics major, she has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll as well as receiving ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
Academic All-District nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average. All honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected at the end of May.
