SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College head volleyball coach
Lynze Roos announced the 2022 fall volleyball schedule Tuesday morning, in which the Terriers will compete in 28 matches overall, including four non-conference tournaments that total to 12 matches. Two of those tournaments are hosted by Wofford and make up part of a combined 12 home dates inside the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The Terriers host two tournaments this season for the first time ever.

The campaign begins for the Terriers with the first of four non-conference tournaments in Charlotte, N.C. at the Charlotte Invitational. The three-match slate opens with a match-up against Campbell on Friday, Aug. 26 at 2:00 p.m. before concluding with a Saturday doubleheader on Aug. 27 against Morgan State and then the host Charlotte.

Wofford returns to the friendly confines of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium to begin the home slate with the first of two tournaments hosted by the Terriers, the annual Wofford Invitational. The Terriers begin their tournament with a doubleheader on Friday, Sep. 2 against Eastern Kentucky and then former SoCon foe Appalachian State. On Saturday, Sep. 3, Wofford concludes the tournament against crosstown foe USC Upstate.

The Terriers remain in the Palmetto State for their next tournament when they travel to the Lowcountry for three games in Charleston at the College of Charleston Invitational from Sep. 9-10. On Friday, Sep. 9, Wofford opens against Coastal Carolina and then wraps up in Charleston with a doubleheader against the host Cougars and the University of the Incarnate Word.

Wofford returns to Spartanburg for its second tournament in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, the first-ever Terrier Invite from Sep. 16-17. The action opens with a doubleheader on Friday, Sep. 16 against South Carolina State and Georgia State. The Terriers conclude their tournament and non-conference slate on Saturday, Sep. 17 with a match against Presbyterian.

Wofford then hits the road to open Southern Conference play, traveling to the Volunteer State for matches at ETSU (Sep. 23) and Chattanooga (Sep. 24).

Wofford comes back home for a four-match homestand from Sep. 28 to Oct. 5. The Terriers play rival Furman on Sep. 28 before welcoming UNCG to town on Sep. 30. Oct. 1 sees a match-up against Western Carolina before the homestand concludes against The Citadel on Oct. 5.

A pair of road matches are next for Wofford, who travels to Mercer (Oct. 14) and Samford (Oct. 15) before coming back home for a weekend set. The Terriers host Chattanooga on Oct. 21 to open the back-half of the conference slate and then play ETSU on Oct. 22.

The Terriers then embark on a four-game road swing that opens at Furman on Oct. 26. Wofford rides up to the Tar Heel State to play Western Carolina (Oct. 28) and UNCG (Oct. 29). The road trip wraps up at The Citadel on Nov. 2.

Returning home, Wofford concludes conference action with a pair of matches against Samford (Nov. 11) and Mercer (Nov. 12). The Mercer game will be Senior Night, and with a 7:00 p.m. start time it will conclude the regular season.

The 2022 Southern Conference Volleyball Championships will be held from Friday, Nov. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 20 in Greenville, S.C. The action will take place on the campus of Furman University at Alley Gymnasium.

Wofford enters 2022 looking to build on its momentum from last season, which saw the Terriers post a 17-14 record with a 9-7 league mark and a SoCon Championship Game appearance.
