SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford track and field head coach
Johnny Bomar has announced the 2023-24 men's and women's track and field schedule. The indoor season will begin in December, with the Southern Conference Championship in February. The outdoor season begins in March with the SoCon championship set for May 6 and 7.
Last season at the Southern Conference indoor championship, the women finished second overall and the men were seventh. League titles were won by
Netanya Linares in the pentathlon,
Kerrington Johnson in the 60-meter hurdles,
Madeline McNinch in the 200 meters,
Jasmine Jefferson in the 400 meters and
Tanner Henry in the high jump. Seven All-SoCon honors were earned by the teams.
During the 2023 outdoor season, the women were second at the Southern Conference Championship, with the men finishing seventh. Titles were won by
Kerrington Johnson in the 100 and 400-meter hurdles,
Netanya Linares in the heptathlon,
Tanner Henry in the high jump and the women's 4x100 relay. A total of seventeen All-SoCon honors were earned between the two squads, in addition to seventeen All-Freshman Team honors.
