CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team competed in an NCAA Qualifier match at The Citadel on Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Citadel co-ed team was first with 4,629 points, with The Citadel women's team second at 4,392 points and Wofford third with 4,378 points.
Wofford was led by
Isabella Timmons with an aggregate score of 1,114 to take seventh place overall. She was the top Terrier in both small bore (549) and air (565). Garrett Dall fired a 1,104 (543 small bore, 561 air) as he was tenth overall.
Ansely-Brooke Springer had a 1,084 (522 small bore, 562 air), while
Jessy Delgado had a 1,076 (535 small bore, 541 air).
Charlie Yang had a 516 in air rifle only.
Charlotte Welsh of The Citadel was the top individual with an aggregate score of 1,170 and she had the top scored in both small bore (586) and air rifle (584).
The Terriers will conclude the season at the Southern Conference Championships on March 4 and 5 in Charleston.
