SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College head women's basketball coach
Jimmy Garrity has announced a signing class of three future Terriers for the 2025-26 season. Brady Branam, Gabby Mundy and Elli Porter have all signed to join the program in the fall of 2025.
"We are excited to announce the signing of Brady Branam, Gabby Mundy and Elli Porter to our 2025 recruiting class," said Garrity. "Our staff did a fabulous job identifying them as a potential Wofford fit and then recruiting them hard to ensure their commitment to becoming a Terrier. They come from great families that have instilled tremendous integrity, character and work ethic in them that will allow them to be successful in our women's basketball program. They are talented players that place a high priority on academics, competing and being a great teammate. I am confident they will represent Wofford College and our women's basketball program in a first-class manner both on and off the court."
Name Pos. Hometown / High School
Brady Branam F Seymour, Tenn. / The Kings Academy
Gabby Mundy G Liberty Hill, Texas / Liberty Hill
Elli Porter G Columbia, Mo. / Rock Bridge
Brady Branam is a 6-2 forward from Seymour, Tennessee, and attends The Kings Academy. Going into her senior season, Branam has tallied 1,136 points with 799 rebounds. As just a freshman, Branam was named first-team all-district. She added an all-district tournament team nod the following season, and as a junior she racked up the honors with an all-region nod, BCAT All-State Team selection and a District MVP recognition. Branam has twice led her squad to a state final four appearance alongside two district and region runner-up finishes. Branam is not the first of her family to play college basketball, as her grandmother, Freda Meade, and her mother, Laurah Shreve, both played at the collegiate level.
"Brady committed to us during our team camp a couple of years ago, so we have known her for quite some time," said Garrity. "We were thrilled to hear her say 'yes' to becoming a Terrier. She has a bubbly personality that Terrier fans are going to love. Brady is a post player that can play with her back to the basket and has a really nice face up game. She has a nice touch around the rim and has the ability to stretch the defense with her outside shot. Defensively, Brady moves well and is very vocal in her communication with teammates. I'm excited that Brady will be wearing the black and gold for Wofford. She has a great future ahead of her, and she is going to be fun to watch over the next four years."
Gabby Mundy is a 5-5 guard from Liberty Hill, Texas, and attends Liberty Hill High School. As a four-time letterwinning point guard, Mundy has scored over 15 points per game each of her first three high school seasons with more than 18 per game as a sophomore and junior. An all-region honoree each season, she has also been tabbed all-state and an all-star. Mundy was Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and then won District MVP the following season before adding on Offensive District MVP as a junior. She also secured academic all-district honors. Mundy has helped her high school team reach the regional semifinals twice.
"We first saw Gabby play this past spring," said Garrity. "The first thing that jumped out was her leadership qualities. Whether it was before games, during warmups or the actual game itself, I loved the way she interacted with her teammates and coaches. She has the ability to get everyone working together and on the same page. Gabby is a point guard with a high basketball IQ and the ability to score at all three levels. She's also a tremendous passer with great vision. Defensively, Gabby is quick, tough and a really good on-the-ball defender. Opponents have a hard time getting by her. I'm really excited for Terrier fans to watch Gabby, and I'm looking forward to her impact on our program both on and off the court."
Elli Porter is a 5-7 guard from Columbia, Missouri, and attends Rock Bridge High School. Going into her senior season, Porter is on the cusp of 1,000 points with 964 to her name. She adds in 188 rebounds, 133 three-pointers, 268 assists and 228 steals. Stellar on defense, Porter has averaged four steals per game each of her first three high school seasons. A three-time all-conference and all-district selection, she has earned multiple all-tournament nods and was named Prep Hoops Missouri Class 4 Freshman of the Year. Porter is also a three-time academic all-state honoree, and she holds her high school's record for made free throws in a single game with 15. She has guided her high school squads to two conference titles and back-to-back district championships. She helped her club team, Missouri Phenom EYBL, finish runner-up in Nike Nationals, and she has played two years of softball.
"We got a late jump on Elli in the recruiting process. When we saw her play over the summer, we quickly realized that she was someone that would be a great fit in our system," said Garrity. "After getting to know her over the phone and having her and her family visit campus, we knew she was a match for our culture as well. Elli is a combo guard with high basketball IQ that can really score it at all three levels. She has the ability to get to the rim, has a really nice mid-range game and shoots the three with deep range and great accuracy. She's a player that makes winning plays both offensively and defensively. I think Elli is set to have a great career ahead of her, and Terrier fans are going to enjoy watching her over the next four years."
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
