SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has announced its selection for women's basketball player of the week for all competition from February 4-10 with Wofford's
Evangelia Paulk selected as the honoree. The selection is made by the league office.

This is Paulk's second weekly honor of the season after earning the first of her career on January 14. With two player of the week recognitions, she is now just the fifth player in program history to have won the award multiple times.

"I'm really excited and happy for Evangelia to receive this recognition," said head coach
Jimmy Garrity. "She's been rock solid all season long. Her game against Furman was incredible, and her stat line was off the charts."

In Wofford's double overtime thriller at Furman on Saturday, Paulk posted a career-high 29 points while playing all but 23 seconds of the 50 minute contest. She shot 4-of-7 from three and 11-of-13 from the charity stripe. This included knocking down a pair of clutch free throws in the closing seconds of regulation to tie the game and force overtime. Paulk's point total is a new season high for a Terrier. Only four players in the SoCon totaled more points on the week, but all four needed two games to outscore her.

The Asheville, North Carolina, native narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds while adding four helpers and five steals. This marked her seventh career five-steal game as her season swipe total rose to 67, 14
th in the nation.

Wofford will remain on the road this week looking to bounce back with a pair of contests in the Tar Heel State. The Terriers are second in the SoCon at 6-2 in league play and will face Western Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13. Two days later, Wofford battles conference leader UNCG at 2:00 p.m.
