Women’s Tennis Earns Multiple Southern Conference Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced the 2025 women's tennis postseason awards on Wednesday, April 16. Postseason balloting was conducted by the league's eight head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.
 
Wofford's Breda Brennan was selected to the All-Southern Conference first team. Lily Woods earned All-SoCon second team honors at #3 singles, while Chloe Elliott was named All-SoCon at #6 singles. The doubles pair of Brennan and Woods was named second team #1 doubles. Krissy Hall was named the SoCon Coach of the Year.
 
Brennan, a senior from Limerick, Ireland, earned first team honors for the second straight season. She was 10-8 overall on the season in singles play and 13-6 in doubles play. All singles were played at the #1 position, where she was 3-4 in Southern Conference matches. Brennan earned second team All-Conference honors in 2023.
 
Elliott, a junior from Oxford, England, was named to the second team at the #6 position. Overall, she was 14-3 on the season with a 13-3 mark at the #6 position and a 1-0 record at the #5 position. In SoCon play, she was undefeated at 7-0. She also posted a 10-5 record at the #3 doubles position with Brianna Wilbur.   
 
Lily Woods, a senior from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, was named to the second team at the #3 singles position. She was 14-3 overall and 5-2 in league play in singles. She had league wins over Chattanooga, Mercer, ETSU, UNC Greensboro, and Western Carolina. In doubles, she posted a 12-7 record at the #1 position with Breda Brennan (8-4) and Grace Agster (4-3).
 
Brennan and Woods were named second team All-Conference at the #1 doubles position for the second straight season. The pair was 8-4 overall and 4-3 in Southern Conference play. They are the seventh doubles pairing at Wofford to earn All-Conference honors.
 
Hall was named the SoCon Coach of the Year for the second time in her career. This season she led the team to a 16-3 overall record and a 5-3 mark in league play. The 16 wins are the most in school history, while the five SoCon wins are the second-most in school history. She was also honored in 2019.
 
The Terriers will open play at the 2025 Southern Conference Tournament on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wofford, the #3 seed, will face the #6 seed Chattanooga.
