The Con Man
Freshman
Cullen Condon has burst onto the scene quickly to open his career. Condon was named the game two starter, making his debut almost immediately to start the season. Despite a tough first inning against Ohio, Condon settled in nicely afterward. The freshman posted a quality bounce-back outing against Army with a career-high 10 punchouts in 6.0 innings. With just one run allowed, he earned a quality start. Those 10 punchouts are tied for the most by a Terrier freshman in the program's Division I era. Overall on the season, Condon has a 5.62 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 40.0 innings of work over 10 starts. Those 10 starts show the trust the Terrier staff has in the youngster as he is one shy of the most starts by a freshman in the country (Northwestern's Matthew Kouser, 11) and owns the most by a SoCon freshman. He is only three shy of the most starts by a player in the nation regardless of class with Liberty's Dylan Mathiesen starting 14 times. Condon earned the game one nod for the first time in his career at UNCG and opened the series at Western Carolina for a second-straight weekend.
