SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford's
Robbie Young has been named the Southern Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from April 1-7. The selection is made by the league office.
Young, a senior from Greenville, S.C., had a 6-2, 6-2 win at #1 singles and added a 7-5 win at #1 doubles with
Jack Deveney last Saturday against Chattanooga.
The award is the first of Young's career and the first for a Wofford men's tennis player since
Alex Horn on March 13, 2023.
Also nominated: Francisco Lamas (ETSU) and Nemanja Stefanovic (Mercer).
Wofford (6-10, 1-4) will host Mercer on Tuesday, April 8, followed by the final home match of the season on Friday, April 11, against Furman for Senior Day.
