What an Honor
The 2025 year-end conference awards for baseball have been announced as voted on by the league's eight head coaches (who were not permitted to vote for their own players), and Wofford boasts a trio of honorees.
Carter Rasmussen was named to the All-SoCon Second Team, and the freshman duo of
Cullen Condon and
Tanner Hardin made the SoCon All-Freshman Team. Rasmussen's selection marks five-straight seasons with a Terrier relief pitcher earning All-SoCon honors. Condon and Hardin making the all-freshman team secure an eighth-straight season with at least two Terrier rookies honored on the freshman team.

Rising to the Occasion
Sophomore right-hander
Alec Bouchard has stepped up recently into a starting role and thrived. Last season as a freshman, Bouchard was primarily a reliever, making just four starts in his 23 total appearances. This season, Bouchard once again served as a reliever for his first 12 outings, but he was tabbed with a start at High Point in the first leg of a doubleheader. He has remained in the rotation since, serving as the game one starter against both Mercer and ETSU, securing the win in both contests. Against the Bears, Bouchard hurled 5.0 innings with four strikeouts and just a single unearned run allowed. At ETSU, he pitched a career-high 6.0 frames with four strikeouts. His best outing yet, however, came against VMI with a 7.0-inning, two-run, five-strikeout outing. It was his first-career quality start. In all, he has made 16 appearances this season with four starts, posting a 3-1 record with a 6.06 ERA. Bouchard touts 45 punchouts to just 14 walks issued. Specifically in Bouchard's four starts, he touts a 4.57 ERA with a 2-1 record over 21.2 innings. He has 18 strikeouts with batters hitting just .226 against him.

T-Bak Teeing Off
Tyler Bak has been on a tear since the calendar flipped to May. During this month, he is riding a 10-game hit and on-base streak, batting an even .500 with 21 hits in 42 at-bats. One-third of his hits have gone for extra bases with six double and one homer. During the stretch, he boasts seven RBI with nine runs scored while adding a .714 slug and .523 on-base clip. Overall on the campaign, Bak hits .326 with a .440 slugging clip and .431 on-base percentage. He touts 46 hits overall with 10 doubles and two homers alongside 17 RBI and 26 runs. He has been at his best in conference play, hitting a team-best .366 over Wofford's 21 league games. He claimed 30 of his hits in league action, including eight doubles and one home run alongside 11 runs, seven RBI, and one steal. He boasted a .500 slugging mark in league action with a .416 on-base clip.

Cowboy Carter
Junior right-hander
Carter Rasmussen, a native of Justin, Texas, has made an impact in his first season with Wofford. Transferring into the program after two seasons with Brown, Rasmussen touts a 6-2 record with a 3.48 ERA and three saves over 44.0 innings of action. His 56 strikeouts lead the team, and he has issued only 15 walks in comparison. His six wins and three saves are both tops on the team. He has been almost unstoppable in May, posting four-straight outings of scoreless baseball, which comes out to 12.1 consecutive innings without surrendering a run. He last allowed a run against High Point on April 27. Rasmussen owns nine total outings this season in which he gave up zero earned runs. Though not owning enough innings to qualify, Rasmussen's ERA is truly the best on the team. The only ERA lower is
Champ Davis's 1.97 mark, but Rasmussen has pitched more innings with Davis out since late March. The cowboy was tabbed as SoCon Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career on May 12, and he capped off his accolades with a Second-Team All-SoCon nod.

Small Ball
Wofford, or Bunt School, uses a combination of stolen bases and sacrifice bunts to advance on the basepaths. The Terriers swiped 147 bags last season, seventh nationally and second in the SoCon behind only VMI's 178. Wofford's 2.37 steals per game clip was 10th in the nation. With 55 sacrifices laid down, Wofford ranked fourth in the nation and was best in the conference. This season, the Terriers have put down 42 sacrifices and stolen 156 bases. The steals are good for fifth in the nation and second in the league. The Terriers trail just VMI in the conference with its national-best 209 swipes. Sixteen different Terriers have swiped a base thus far with 15 owning multiple and six boasting at least 10. Four Terriers are perfect on steal attempts with at least four tries, including
Adam Haber in double-digits at 13-of-13.
Niko Brini leads the team with 26 swipes, ranking third in the conference.
James Layman joins him above 20 with 23, ranking fifth in the league. Wofford is just seven steals shy of matching its single-season record, which was set in 2013 with 163. Wofford's sacrifice bunts are third in the conference and 11th in the nation. Twelve different players have laid one down for Wofford with
Tanner Hardin and
Lucas Manning leading the way on the squad with seven each. They rank ninth in the conference. They sit just six sacrifices behind the SoCon leader, The Citadel's Travis Elliott with 13.

30 Rocks
Upon recording win No. 30 last season, the Terriers secured a 30-win season for the sixth-straight full season (COVID-shortened 2020 campaign excluded).
J.J. Edwards, became the first skipper in program history to notch 30 or more victories in his first year at the helm. Wofford's streak of six years in a row with 30-plus wins is the longest active run by a SoCon school. Mercer had been in front with eight-straight 30-win campaigns since joining the league, but the Bears finished with 29 wins last season to fall just short of extending their streak. With the game one win against VMI, the Terriers reached the 30-win threshold for a seventh-straight season.
