SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its weekly men's soccer honors with Wofford's
Evan Morris receiving defensive player of the week. This honor is the first of Morris's career. The selections are made by the league office.
Morris made his first start of the season for the Terriers against VMI and did not disappoint. He stopped all four of VMI's shots on goal, including one in the final minutes of the game, and earned his first clean sheet of the season. He played all 90 minutes in goal, and his clean sheet ended up being a difference-maker in a game that ended 1-0, Wofford.
The Terriers return to play tonight against the Duke Blue Devils at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, with kickoff at 7 p.m. Wofford continues conference play this weekend, when they travel to Macon, Georgia, to play the Mercer Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
