SUNSET BEACH, N.C. – The Wofford women’s golf team finished seventh after three rounds of play at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate, hosted by Elon University.

Junior Alex Rankin led the Terriers with a score of 234 (77-77-80) over three rounds, placing her tied for 23rd place individually. Senior Sarah Herbert, sophomore Sarah Hurt, and junior Meredith Few finished close behind, all tied for 27th place with scores of 235.

Herbert opened the tournament with a 76, struggled in the second round with an 84, but shot a team-low 75 in the third round. Hurt recorded scores of 79-77-79 over the three rounds, and Few carded 77-79-79. Rounding out the scores for the Terriers was freshman Tarah Taylor, who shot 250 (89-82-79).

The Terriers will compete again October 12-13 at the Richmond Spider Invitational in Richmond, Va.
