Spartanburg, S.C. - The Wofford men’s tennis team fell on Sunday afternoon to Troy University 5-2 on Sunday afternoon. The loss takes the Terriers record to 3-4 on the season while Troy improves to 5-2 on the year.
Troy was able to take a 1-0 advantage by winning all three doubles matches. In singles competition Alan Donald won his number three singles match against Rolemburg Silva by a score of 7-5, 6-3.Tom Wood defeated Xavier Masson 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 at number six singles.
After the match Wofford head coach Rod Ray said “Troy has a very good team and were determined to win. Playing a good team like them can only make up better and we plan to learn from today’s match. Without a doubt, this experience can make us better as long as we are willing to take inventory”.
The Terriers will return to action on February 25 when they will take on USC Upstate at 3:00 pm at the Reeves Tennis Center on the Wofford College Campus.
