Women’s Tennis drop match to Furman

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Wofford women’s tennis team was defeated by Furman University Wednesday afternoon 7-0 at the Reeves Tennis Center. The loss drops the Terriers record to 1-13 and 0-3 in the Southern Conference. Furman improves to 9-5 and 2-0 in the Southern Conference.
The Paladins jumped out to an early lead by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage heading into singles play. Furman swept the singles matches as well on their way to a 7-0 victory. The Terriers were led by Lindsay Larkin. In the number five singles match Larkin lost the first set 6-1 to Susan Betetti. Larkin rallied during the second set to force a tie break which Betetti won 7-2 to give her a 6-1, 7-6 victory.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday March 27 when they will travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee to take on UT Chattanooga.
