Chattanooga, Tennessee- The Wofford men's tennis team came from behind to defeat Southern Conference rival UT Chattanooga by a score of 4-3. The Terriers improve to 7-7 on the year and 3-1 in the Southern Conference. Chattanooga falls to 2-11 on the year and 0-5 in the Southern Conference.
Chattanooga took an early lead by winning two of three doubles match to take a 1-0 advantage heading into singles play. Tinus Van Wyk and Paul Bartholomy defeated Chris Smith and Stephen Crofford 8-5 at number two doubles for the Terriers.
In singles action Wofford won four of six matches to win the match 4-3. Stuart Robertson got things started for Wofford by defeating Ryan Pool 6-4, 6-2 at number two singles. Michael Schecter defeated Jackson Tresnan 6-3, 6-3 at number four singles. Tom Wood won his number five singles match over Sam Parfitt 6-2, 6-3.
In the final match of the day Drew Superstein defeated William Disterdick 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the match for the Terriers
