Charleston, S.C. – The Wofford women’s tennis team lost their match to the #70 nationally ranked Charleston Southern by a score of 7-0 on Thursday afternoon. The loss drops the Terriers record to 1-17 on the year and 0-6 in the Southern Conference. Charleston Southern improves to 13-1 and 5-0 in the Big South Conference. Due to injury the Terriers were forced to play shorthanded with only five healthy players for the match.
In doubles action Haley Baird and Guinn Garcia lost a hard fought tie break at number one doubles to give Andrea Schutte and Angie Torres an 8-7 victory. In singles action the Charleston Southern experience proved to be too much as they swept all six singles matches.
Wofford will be back in action on Saturday April, 3 when they will travel to Cullowhee, N.C. to take on Western Carolina
