Terriers Finish Fifth at CSU Wendy’s Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford women’s golf team finished in fifth place with a score of 615 at the CSU Wendy’s Invitational over the par-71 Coosaw Creek Country Club Monday and Tuesday mornings.
 
Wofford finished in fifth just two strokes behind Appalachian State (613) in fourth and five strokes behind Stetson and UAB (610), who finished tied for second.  Marshall took the tournament’s top spot with a 605.
 
Sarah Hurt led the Terriers with a 75-75--150 putting her in a tie for tenth place.  Anne Marie Covar followed with a 76-76--152 for a tie for 15th place., while Tarah Taylor tied for 30th with a 79-77-156.  Lauren Dunbar tied for 34th after shooting an 80-77-157, and Shelby Winters carded an 88-85--173 to finish in a tie for 75th.
 
Wofford will wrap up their fall schedule on November 28th with the Lady Paladin Invitational host by Furman.
