GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Brent Whitehead finished tied for 20th to lead Wofford as the men’s golf team finished in ninth place at the three-round Furman Intercollegiate.

Whitehead fired rounds of 74, 73 and 70 for a 217 to pace the team.  Chandler Brazeal shot a 79, 75 and 70 for a 224, and Zach Capps had scores of 77, 73 and 75 for a 225.  Charles Moore had his first round score of 75 count towards the total, while Mark Joye had his second and third rounds of 73 and 74 added.

Total the Terriers shot an 888 for a +24.  Clemson won the tournament with an 848 for a -16.

The Terriers will return to the course when they host the Coca Cola Wofford Invitational April 11 and April 12 at the Spartanburg Country Club.
