GREENSBORO, S.C.- The men’s tennis team traveled to UNC Greensboro Saturday afternoon to take on the Spartans in the first conference match of the season. Drew Superstein posted the sole point for the Terriers, scoring in singles play. Wofford drops to 4-6 on the season and goes to an 0-1 standing in the Southern Conference. UNCG improves to 5-3 on the year and grabs a 1-0 record in the SoCon.

The Spartans took an early lead after sweeping each doubles match and winning the doubles point.
Wofford’s Superstein earned the lone point for the Terriers in singles at the No. 5 position, defeating Chanon Varapongsittikul 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (11-9).

Alan Donald took his match against Ahmet Sarioglu to three sets at the No. 4 spot. The senior captain won the first set 6-4, but dropped the next two sets 6-2, 6-3. The remainder of the singles matches were lost in straight sets.

The Terriers will continue conference play on the road against the Citadel. The match is set for March 12th at 11:00 am.
