BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Wofford men’s tennis team fell to Florida Atlantic by a 6-1 score at Patch Reef Park Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Terriers fall to 1-3 for the season, while FAU improves to 4-1 overall.
The afternoon started with doubles play, where the duo of Jackson Keith and Walker Heffron picked up a win over the pairing of Boris Bogomolov and Robert Dubuque (8-3) at the No. 2 position, yet the Owls took the remaining two matches to give FAU the early 1-0 advantage.
Wofford picked up a point at the No. 4 position in singles play, as Rob Galloway defeated Robert Dubuque (7-6(12), 7-6(3)). Florida Atlantic took the remaining five singles matches to claim the 6-1 overall win.
The Terriers return to the courts next Saturday afternoon as they host Coastal Carolina. The match is set for a 1:00 p.m. start time at the Reeves Tennis Center.
