Final Results
SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The Wofford women’s golf team opened with a seventh place finish in its first tournament of the spring with a three-round score of 995 at the par-72, 6,166 yard The Reserve at St. James Plantation in the Spider Spring Break Invitational.
The Terriers opened with rounds one and two on Saturday with scores of 350 and 315 before finishing the tournament with a 330 for the 995. Boston College won the event with a 963 after rounds of 312, 328 and 323.
Lauren Dunbar led the Terriers with an 89-75-80 for a 244 and in 12th, while Anne Marie Covar followed with an 85-80-82--247 for a tie for 19th. Alex Hendricks just missed the top 25 with a 26th place finish after carding an 87-76-86—249, and Sarah Hurt finished with an 89-86-82—257. Elizabeth Thompson rounded out the Terrier golfers with a 94-84-86—264.
Boston College’s Katia Joo was the individual winner with a 76-78-76—230.
Wofford will return to the links with the Bucknell Invitational on March 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
