Women’s Golf Finishes 14th in Weather Shortened Bucknell Invitational

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – The Wofford women’s golf team finished 14th at the Bison Invitational at the par-72, 6,022 yard Paiute Golf Club; the Terrier shot a 669 over the weather shortened 36-hole tournament.
 
Oral Roberts took first with a 614, with San Francisco in second with a 631 and Eastern Kentucky third with a 633.
 
The players faced high winds on the opening day first and second rounds, while the third round was cancelled due to high winds.
 
Anne Marie Covar led the Terriers with an 82-78—160 in 19th place, and Lauren Dunbar followed with an 81-84—165.  Alex Hendricks fired an 84-86—170, and Tarah Taylor shot an 81-93—174.  Sarah Hurt entered the clubhouse with an 89-93—182.
 
Oral Roberts’ Crystal Reeves and Northern Iowa’s Brittany Atterbury finished tied for first with scores of 77-75—152 and 73-79—152 respectively.
 
Wofford will return to the course when they host the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C. on March 25-26.
