CONWAY, S.C. – The Wofford College women's tennis team dropped their road match at Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon, falling 5-2 at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex.

The Terriers (3-2) dropped all three doubles matches to the Chanticleers (5-3) but did pick up victories in two of the six singles matches. Junior

Cassidy Hicks earned the Terrier victories in the number one and two singles positions, respectively.

Martin defeated Coastal Carolina's Libby Scott 6-2, 6-3 to move to 4-1 in singles matches for the season, while Hicks beat Laura Martin 6-3, 6-2 to earn her third singles victory of the season.

Sophomore
Lauren Reid suffered her first singles defeat of the season, falling in the four position to Cari Berry 6-2, 6-3.

Junior
Kalli Karas played tough at the number three singles position, taking Marie Babayan to a decisive third-set tiebreaker before falling 6-3, 5-7, 10-8.

The Terriers are now 5-10 against Coastal Carolina all-time and are now 2-7 on the road facing the Chanticleers.

Wofford returns home for its next match, facing Emmanuel College (Ga.) Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. as part of the final men's-women's home doubleheader of the season.
