JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Wofford College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the MSHA Athletic Center. Over sixty teams competed in the highly competitive event, with one school record set and one record tied.

On Friday, the women's distance medley team of
Jamie Barnett,
Alexandra Burgess,
Rebeka Parent and
Anya Bunao finished eighth overall in 13:03.62. Â In the 60 meters,
Amber Lust tied her school record at 8.00 seconds.
Alexandra Burgess,
McLeod Dean and
Olivia Head also ran the 60 meters for the women, while
Sam Robinson,
Conrad Heinrich and
Jack McDonald competed in the event for the men. In the 60 meter hurdles,
Amber Lust was the top finisher for the Terriers, with
Sara Wilson also running.
McLeod Dean lowered her school record in the 200 meters to 26.14, with
Amber Lust,
Olivia Head,
Sara Jane Hayes and
Faith Jewkes also competing in the 200 meters.
Conrad Heinrich,
Matt Ransom and
Jack McDonald ran the 200 meters for the men.
LeAndrea Combo,
Olivia Head and
Faith Jewkes ran the 400 meters on the women's side, with
Matt Ransom competing in the event for the men. In the 5,000 meters,
Dane Szalwinski and
Jonathan Rice ran for the men. Kasey Widmyer and
Omar Mingo competed in the triple jump, with
Kaitlyn Widmyer,
Taylor Hall, Alexandra King, and
Gaston Hayworth in the weight throw.

During Saturday's competition,
Chandler Washburn,
Rebeka Parent,
LeAndrea Combo ran the women's 800 meters. In the men's 800 meters,
Alex Michaels was 16
th overall with a 1:58.62, with
Ben Hensley and
David Grant also running the event.
Anya Bunao was 10
th overall in the mile with a time of 5:17.56, with
Jamie Barnett and
Mollie Golicher competing as well. In the men's mile,
Joe Harbacevich was eighth overall at 4:22.91.
Alex Michaels,
Cisco Ferre and
Will Stutts also ran the mile.
Emily Williams and
Taylor Hall threw the women's shot put, while Longinus Nnodim threw the men's shot put and
Tevin Johnson competed in the long jump. In the 3,000 meters, Wofford was represented by
Shannon McAndrew,
Alexandra Christopoulos,
Breck Peterson,
Halee Rogers,
Ben Boatwright,
Kenneth Atwood, and
Jurdan Mossburg. The Terriers also had teams compete in the men's and women's 4x400 relays.

The Wofford men's and women's track and field teams are back in action next Friday and Saturday, February 12-13, at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.
