CLEMSON, S.C. – The Wofford College men's tennis team fell in the first match of a doubleheader at Clemson University 4-3 Sunday morning.

The Terriers (3-3) dropped two of the three doubles matches but won three of six singles matches against the Tigers (3-4).

Alan Poric and junior
Andrew Graham took the lone Terriers' victory in doubles. Playing from the three position, the duo defeated Daffra Sanon and Rafa Navas Robles 6-2. Junior

Trevor Gotkowski playing at the two spot.

In singles,
Haris Poric suffered his first defeat of the season at the one position, dropping his match to Alex Favrot 6-2, 7-5.

Gotkowski, Sklar and sophomore
Jack Thomas all took singles victories for the Terriers. Gotkowski earned a victory over Arturo Pinazo 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 from the four position. Sklar defeated Brent Lett in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 at the five spot, while Thomas earned his first victory of the season from the six position 6-4, 7-6.

Thompson and
Alan Poric each dropped their singles matches in straight sets, with Poric falling to Sanon at the two spot 6-3, 6-2 and Thompson losing in the three position to Luke Johnson 6-3, 6-3.

The match was played indoors at the Clemson Indoor Tennis Center. The second match of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and will shift outdoors to the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Follow the match online at
