CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Wofford College women's cross country team competed at 2017 NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday morning at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia. Hannah Steelman finished 18
th overall to earn NCAA All-Region honors.
In the 6k race, Steelman ran a 20:57.9 to set a new school record in the distance. Steelman, the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, was the second freshman to finish the race. Taryn Schoen was the next Terrier to cross the line at 23:44.5, followed by Anya Bunao (24:19.7), Shannon McAndrew (24:24.8), Mary Stewart Wilson (24:45.6), Rebeka Fadgyas (24:58.7), and Whitley Elsass (25:02.0).
As a team, Wofford was 28
th overall. North Carolina State won the region with 68 points, with Furman coming in second at 83 points. Overall 37 teams and 257 individuals competed in the event.
