Box Score Spartanburg, S.C. – The Wofford women's soccer team won 7-1 against Hampton on Sunday afternoon at Snyder Field. The Terriers opened the scoring in the 19
th minute and added multiple insurance goals to secure the team's first win of the season.

The Terriers and Pirates went 19 minutes without any scoring when
Hayley Younginer took a pass from
Hannah Washko and buried her seventh goal of the season. Just a minute later Younginer found the back of the net again after following her own shot off the crossbar and finishing her eighth goal of the season.
Just four minutes in to the second half the Terriers added to their lead when
Emma Fletcher scored her first goal of the season off of a Wofford corner kick. In the 71
st minute the Terriers struck again when
Catie Slater scored her first goal of the season thanks to the assist from
Dani Segovia. The Pirates scored their lone goal in the 78
th minute when Sydney Jackson scored thanks to the assist from Ayana Garvin.

The Terriers responded with an offensive opportunity that resulted in an own goal against Hampton, increasing the Wofford lead to 5-1.
Shelby Pollock then scored for the Terriers in the 81
st minute after
Hannah Washko's shot attempt was saved. Just 15 seconds later
Katie Beuerlein streaked down the right sideline and scored her first goal of the season to round out the scoring.

The Terriers dominated time of possession and offensive opportunities as they totaled 19 shots and six corner kicks in the game.
Mayson Liner started in goal and made 3 saves while conceding just one goal.
Hayley Younginer continues her scorching start to the season with two more goals, making it four games in a row with two goals. Prior to today's game Younginer ranked number 1 in the country in goals scored with six, she now has eight on the season.
Hannah Washko recorded two assists while
Dani Segovia and
Eva Dailey each recorded one.
