HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – The Wofford College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday at the fourth annual Thundering Herd Invitational. The meet took place at the Jeff Small Track at the Chris Cline Indoor Athletic Complex at Marshall. The Terriers posted numerous top ten finishes at the meet and a school record was established.

On Friday,
Longinus Nnodim won the men's weight throw with a distance of 15.72 meters.
Amber Lust was sixth overall with 3370 points.

In the conclusion of the heptathlon on Saturday morning,
Conrad Heinrich was first in the 1000 meters and second in the 60 meter hurdles. Heinrich,
William Stout and
Sam Robinson all finished in the top ten in the heptathlon.

During the Saturday field events, Thomas Maxey was eighth in the men's long jump.
Longinus Nnodim added a third place in the shot put, with
Connor Jacobs sixth.
Alexandra Burgess was tenth in the triple jump at 11.35 meters and
Omar Mingo took fifth in the men's triple jump at 13.70 meters.

In the running events on Saturday,
Hannah Steelman was fourth in the mile in a school record time of 4:57.16 with
Jamie Barnett tenth in the event.
Joe Harbacevich was seventh in the men's mile at 4:22.00 and fourth in the 800 meters at 1:54.52.
Kassidy Morton was eighth in the 400 meters at 58.46, with
Bradford Smith tenth on the men's side of the 400 meters at 50.79. In the women's 800 meters,
Madison Paraskeva was fifth at 2:16.55.
McLeod Dean was third in the 200 meters for the women at 25.04, with
Bosco Bapoupeleh 13
th for the men.
Taryn Schoen was seventh in the 3,000 meters for the women and
Cisco Ferre was eleventh for the men. The women's 4x400 relay team was ninth overall at 4:01.80 and the men were eighth in the event.

The meet featured 13 schools, nine both men and women teams (Morehead State, Xavier, Winthrop, Charlotte, Wofford, Appalachian State, Saint Louis, Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky) and four women only teams (Marshall, Austin Peay, Ohio, Bowling Green). Appalachian State won the women's meet with 132 points, with Wofford tenth with 22 points. On the men's side, the Mountaineers were first with 134.5 points and the Terriers were sixth with 47 points.

The teams will next compete on February 9 and 10 at the VMI winter Relays. The Southern Conference Championship will be on February 24 and 25 in Lexington, Virginia.
