Box Score BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team fell 4-3 at Gardner-Webb on Wednesday afternoon. Despite dropping the doubles point, Wofford battled back to force a match-clinching scenario but ended up falling just short. With the loss Wofford falls to 9-5 while remaining 1-1 in the conference.

Gardner-Webb began the day by securing the doubles point with a pair of 6-4 victories from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. The Terriers lineup for doubles was as followed: #1

Javi Casasolas. Altough the Bulldogs were able to edge the Terriers in doubles, Williams/Casasolas picked up a 7-5 victory from the No. 3 position to improve 11-2 on the season.

Wofford responded well in singles as the teams split the six matches with the Terriers getting victories from No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6. The Terriers lineup for singles was as followed: #1 Cerbelli, #2 Chousa, #3 Villar, #4
Parks Schoen, #5
Kyle Barr, #6 Williams. Villar downed his opponent 6-2, 6-4 while Barr and Williams won in third-set tie breakers to give Wofford three wins on the day.

The Terriers will return to SoCon play on Saturday, March 31 when the team travels to Johnson City to face off against ETSU at 11 AM.
