SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Head coach Angie Ridgeway announced the 2019-20 Wofford women's golf schedule on Tuesday. The Terriers will compete in 11 regular-season tournaments, with six in the fall followed by five in the spring preceding the Southern Conference Championship. Wofford will host the Terrier Intercollegiate for the ninth year and the Low Country Intercollegiate for the 12th consecutive season.
Ridgeway enters her 16th season at the helm of the women's golf program. Her 2019-20 team returns seven golfers including one senior, two juniors, four sophomores and two freshmen. Grace Massengill is the lone senior while Anna Eddy and Lina Settelmayer are the two juniors. The sophomore class is led by Becca Earl and Kristine Torralba, who carded the two lowest stroke averages for the team as freshman, along with Speedy Kent and Emma King. The program welcomes two freshmen, as Nicole Amos and Lindsey Hollis join the program.
Wofford's fall season begins on September 7 when the Terriers head to Williamsburg, Virginia, to compete in the William & Mary Fall Invitational. Wofford will next compete in the USC Upstate Carolina 1-Day on September 14 before heading to the Elon Invitational from September 23-24. The Terriers travel to the Winthrop Fall Invitational on October 6-7, then heading to Boone, N.C. to compete in the Hound Ears Invitational from Oct. 13-14. The fall season concludes in Spartanburg as Wofford hosts the Terrier Intercollegiate from Oct. 28-29 at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
The spring season begins Feb. 21-23 with the Terriers competing in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational. Wofford next competes in the Kiawah Spring Invitational from March 1-3 before hosting the Low Country Intercollegiate on March 14-15 at the Moss Creek Golf Club on Hilton Head Island. The teams will compete on Moss Creek's North Course for the third consecutive year.
Wofford will play the French Broad Collegiate (March 29-31) before capping off the regular season at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate (April 4-6).
The Terriers will conclude play at Southern Conference Championship from April 19-21 at the Moss Creek Golf Club's South Course.
