SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College head women's golf coach
Angie Ridgeway has announced the 2024 fall slate of action for the Terriers, which includes four events over three months. One tournament will be hosted by Wofford in Spartanburg.
The season begins in Burlington, North Carolina, with the Elon Invitational from September 15-17. The host Phoenix are a former Southern Conference foe, and Wofford will be opening its second-straight campaign in the event after placing fifth last season.
Wofford remains in the Tar Heel State for the second tournament of the season when it competes in the Pirate Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina. The three-day event takes place in Greenville, North Carolina, and runs from September 29 to October 1.
Returning to the Palmetto State, Wofford will host the annual Terrier Intercollegiate from October 20-22 at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg.
The fourth and final event of the fall will take place from November 1-4 as Wofford partakes in the Fripp Island Intercollegiate. Hosted by crosstown rival USC Upstate, the tournament takes place in its namesake, Fripp Island, South Carolina, and will close out the fall slate of action for the Terriers.
After the conclusion of the four fall tournaments, Wofford will break for the winter before returning to action in spring of 2025 for the back half of the season.
After graduating only one golfer from last season's squad, the other six players return as part of eight total on the roster this season. Two newcomers, including a freshman and sophomore transfer, join the Terriers, who are led by seniors
Taylor Burch,
Maggie Jackson and
Regina Parra. Also returning is sophomore
